The Patron Saint of the village namely Aachimadam is St. Antony. There has been a beautiful church standing on the main road between Nellai and Tiruchendur. The church was blessed on 16-05-2007 by the Most Rev A. Jude Paulraj and the then parish Priest was I. Lourduraj who was very active and vibrant in his ministry. There are 25 Catholic Families around the church.
